I am a mostly stay at home mom of two little boys- ages eight and ten.  We are a very active family with the boys often participating in muliple sports at the same time.  As a family, we love to be outside, especially skiing, hiking and camping.  It is nice to get away from all the “noise” that exsists in our plugged in life and relax a little bit.  My fear however, is that as the boys age, these outdoor pursuits will be lost due to pollution, deforestation and global warming. 

As one of the owners of Ananya Studio, a small fair trade company, I realize how hard it can be to let the public know about what you as a business owner are doing to impact the world.  Many people talk about the big things that are being done to help preserve the outdoors but this blog is dedicated to highlighting the small companies and artists trying to make a difference.
